This summer looks to be an exciting time for us here at Symmetric Technologies. We have been testing a quantum processor, and having evaluated these as ready for production we are integrating them into our high end scientific servers. Along with our hardware upgrades, we’ve been readying a number of much needed software updates including bug fixes, security updates and additional features.

:: Upgrade Schedule

June 3rd — Servers 1-17 will be migrated to a new rack in the Quantum datacenter. All users on these machines will be receiving an email regarding the move, including times and duration.

June 17th — Updating all servers from their current versions of Sapphire to 4.2.7. This update includes improved support for neural coprocessors as well as a number of security fixes. Downtime should be minimal as we integrate all of the remaining servers into our neural network.

This is the date that the cascade initiated, culminating in the events of August 23rd. Server logs are copied in the police report.
