Item 3

This is a photograph of 3.22 grams of metal; specifically, a barely-deformed 5.45 mm full-metal jacketed bullet. It is assumed that approximately .03 grams of missing metal were interred along with Ms. Flores in a cemetery in Toronto, where Ms. Flores was born.

The photographed item entered the decedent’s skull at around 800 m/s. It was tumbling slightly, but remained mostly intact and did not retain sufficient velocity to completely exit decedent’s skull, where it was found. (There is some small dispute, but a bare majority of experts feel this is consistent with the behavior of the 5.45 cartridge, ammunition that was originally used in the Soviet Bloc assault rifles beginning in the early 1970s.)

It is listed on the autopsy report as “Item 3” and was photographed by a technician, then placed in a clear plastic bag and labeled.

The current whereabouts of Item 3 are unknown. It is one of several objects related to Ms. Flores’ death which have mysteriously vanished over the past seven months.
