Home From Work (Part 2)
I pull into the driveway, check the mail. Nothing’s there except a bill for my parents, and some junk. I park my car in the spot next to the driveway light, and get out.
As I step into the cool garage, a large orange Tabby Cat rubs against my leg, waiting to be fed. I feed the cat, grab that soda I’ve been wanting since 1:00 in the afternoon, and head upstairs.
I go into my room, change out of my work clothes, and then go to the living room to drink my soda and relax. Just as I sit down in the big chair, there is a noise behind me. I almost spill my soda as I spin around, but I see you instead.
You place your hands on my shoulders, and give me a gentle massage. In that moment, the whole day seems to fade away, even though I’m wondering how you got into my house.
Tilting my head back, I see your beautiful blue eyes looking at me, calming me. We kiss, and you sit down in the chair next to me, holding me. For a moment, I think about the TV, but then I realize that I have you for company.
