Cleanup {Scavenger Hunt Challenge}
“I’m thinking on a number, can you guess what?” Kaytee said with her thick German accent and looked at me with her blue Barbie doll eyes.
Holy Harlie Davidson not this again.
“I’m busy, Kaytee, I’m trying to clean the garage for my new Lexus. There’s a lot of junk in there, you know.”
“Bitte?”
“OK, I need a rest anyway” I put down my dusty, black books and sit on the sofa next to her. I take a sip of my specially imported Windhoek Lager. Ah, that’s refreshing
“one” I say resigned to my fate.
“nein”
“six”
“nein”
“seven”
“nein”
“Hilf mir” I shout in desperation.
“Leander is my new boyfriend! He is wonderful and so strong.” she babbles.
“How is that going to help me?”
“We sat next to einander in Maths hour.”
“two” I interrupt before she can start swooning again.
“You have it! How did you guess?”
“It was easy, one girl and one boy makes two. Now, are you going to help me with that garage or must I call Leander?” I joke while getting up slowly.
Desperately she clings to me “No, do that not, he knows nothing.”
