Dear Journal,
I got my report card today. My mother has decided to take Earl and I out to eat because my mother is very proud that I got straight A’s. I don’t understand why Earl has to come along. I miss the time mom and I used to spend alone but instead it is my mother, Earl, and I. I feel like the third wheel. I am just tired of it. I guess she is pround of me but I always get good grades. Well I will write again after dinner
