Another stellar entry into this classic series. I liked how you worked the memory in and setup the conclusion with such vivid details of the environment and Gorgo’s thoughts.

Your opening paragraphs are always makeing your readers want more.. action at the end.. the deep thinking.. the detail.. it’s all there.

@ OrangeOreos: nah… He’s just been in the wrong places at the wrong times so many times, and it’s probably the fault of someone else in particular (clears throat loudly), Gordo’s just held onto those bad memories so tightly. And look where it’s landed him.
