Self-inflicted terror is worse than being frightened by something tangible. Mostly because tangible things can be destroyed. Is it dark out? I got the feeling it was dark, but then at the mention of insects and animals, I thought it lighter. I do know many insects and animals come out at night, but for some reason my mind became confused briefly. Maybe the word “nocturnal” or some other description would help me. Or maybe I’m just tired!
