I was very quiet in school. I didn’t know, did I like Nick? Jess was getting a ton of attention in school, so she didn’t sit with me at lunch.
When I got home, she called right away.
“Hello? Oh Hi, Jess.”
“Hey Maddie. Listen, Nick invited me to go to AMORES for dinner tonight, but Joe doesn’t have a date. Do you want to go with him?”
“Sure.”
Joe was pretty cool. Megan would be sooooooo mad at me!
“Ok, and does Megan want to go with Kevin?”
“I don’t think I’ll ask. She’ll get mad that I’m going with Joe!”
“Oh, ok. Their limo will pick us up at 6:00. Bye!”
