afraid
“What are you so afraid of?”
He asked demanding an answer.
“I’m afraid to get up. Im afraid to walk away. I’m afraid to live. I’m afraid to die.”
I said speaking more honesty than I had in the longest time.
He released my hand, and instead pulled me into his chest.
“You don’t have to be afraid.”
Who was this person?
“Why?” I pulled my head out, to stare him straight in the crystal blue eyes.
I didn’t believe it for a second.
“I won’t let anything hurt you.”
“You don’t even know my name. You know nothing about me, how will you help me?”
I asked almost angry.
“You’re special.”
“That wasn’t the question.”
Before I could blink, He lifted me into his arms.
He whispered somewhere near the nape of my neck, “I’ll protect you. Dont be afraid…”
