Experiment 1: Unsuccessful {{Twisted History Challenge}}

Benjamin Franklin reached for the doorknob, a metal rod at hand. Outside, a wicked storm was occuring, and rain poured down from the sky heavily.

Mr. Franklin, once outside, attached the metal rod to his home, hoping it would attract lightning for an experiment. “There,” he grunted after attaching the rod. Then he walked inside, soaked through, and with high hopes.

Inside, he lit a candle and placed it on his wooden chest in his room, anticipating the lightning. As each bolt struck, he counted the seconds between the flash and the roars. “One…two…” BOOM ! It was getting closer.

Then, there was a blinding flash of light, and then smoke. Lots of smoke, Benjamin Franklin’s house was on fire. He ran to the door but tripped over a shoe. He laid there, hopeless and unconscious.

His house burned to the gound, as did he. They found his body, covered in ashes, the next day. But they never found his plans and idea for future experiments…
