Secret
He kept my secret, I kissed him and he responded. He responded like he was dying to respond. “Oh how we screamed!” I said and with a reply he said, “at the top of our lungs!”. He held me closer while he kissed my forehead, he told me how my voice was so home to him. He said he loved me. I let him know the kiss was no more than a friend kiss. I could no longer smell the Old Spice he used to wear. I could no longer catch the smell of his laundry, his hair was long, his clothes were dark. His hands were still the same, his taste was as embracing. He understood as he said, “You’re still as amazing as I remember”.
