I love the detail about translating Russian to French and then to English. I hope the Russians arrive with some worthy news and lots of Vodka.

The vodka would definitely be a positive addition, no doubt. The line where you write “He speaks fluent English,” should maybe read “spoke” instead to match the verb tenses better.
