Past Memories
As I walked down the road, hand in hand with Marvin, a car passed us by slowly. The driver had thier window tinted a deep black, opaque. It passed us by in a moment, and as I saw the liscense plate,California, I knew it was all over.I had tried, and it had almost worked, but to no avail.I could never get away from my past.
“Lily, what’s wrong?”Marvin asked as I had stopped walking.
“Tell me.”
He started his process of trying to tell him by slowly running his lips on my neck;like a breeze, barely there. Then he started kissing there in earnest,my only weak spot.As I hadn’t budged yet,his lips moved to my mine, and there we were, totally making out in the middle of the road.
Finally he stopped, and then asked me again what was wrong.I kept skaking my head, tellong him no, but also warding off the memories that were already trying to surface.Memories that I had shut out of my life for a reason.
“Marvin,”I started,”Marvin,I love you so much.But I have to go now.Forever.”
And I walked away from Marvin.
