“Oh my God!”, her mom yelled loudly.
“Do I look that bad?”, Kristine asked trying to avoid the topic.
“What happened?!”, her mom asked, her voice cracking and tears filling her eyes.
“Oh, it’s nothing.”, Kristine said turning away. She couldn’t bring herself to look her mom in the eyes.
“You call this nothing?!”, she was yelling now. “What happened to you?!”
Kristine couldn’t take it anymore. Hysterical, she told her mom the entire story.
