The book of forgotten dreams
“My friends,” started Terence “I have a confession to make, I have an unusual talent. This may come as a shock to some of you but I can make dreams become reality. Not just lucid dreaming – I can do that too – no, if I say and do exactly as I did in my dream the consequences in real life are exactly the same. This has caused me no end of trouble, because sometimes I do it subconsciously and the result is almost always catastrophic.”
His three friends stared at him in slackjawed disbelief.
“What’s lucid dreaming?” asked Gloria, the only girl.
“Lucid dreaming: A lucid dream is a dream in which the person is aware that he or she is dreaming while the dream is in progress, also known as a conscious dream.” quoted Jason as if he had a direct connection to Wikipedia.
“Ah” then silence.
“But what I really wanted to tell you, is that two days ago I dreamt of a book.” continued Terence “This book contained all the forgotten dreams. I went to the library, to the same shelf and there it was, just like in my dream.”
