Alive part 5
The haze made William flawless, he was perfect.
I vigilantly took one step forward, he moved two delicate steps back. He focused on me like he knew every corner of my thoughts. I tried to clear my mind, it was a failed attempt. His eyes strangled me and I couldn’t crawl away from his stare. Through the field he looked so small, but the sudden helpless look on his face made him look even smaller. I wanted to put him at ease, roll up in his arms. Making a few quick steps forward, his response was the exact amount of steps back. I scowled and balled my hands tightly into fists. My head flew back and words violently broke through my teeth,” Why don’t you love me anymore?! This is MY dream, you’re supposed to love me!”
He crouched down swiftly and bared his teeth. Wobbling from side to side, he finally sprang and was darting straight for me. I bit my tongue and closed my eyes. Immediately there was an arm around my waist an another cupped over my mouth. My eyes popped open.
“This isn’t a dream,” he whispered.
