Car Crash

Not again. It’s happening again. I am entering my dream world. It is where all is relived. This time it’s the death. His name was Caleb, and he was my bestest friend. I was there. I was there when it all happened. Why didn’t I stop him? I should’ve seen the swivering car. I should’ve realized he was too tired to fully understand what was happening. It’s all my fault. I saw his body too. I saw his lifeless corpse on the slick black pavement. I saw those lifeless eyes. They were dead; completely dead. His mouth was barely open. I shuddered. His head was twisted at an awkward angle. I pulled myself close to him, and pulled him towards me. I draped his arms around me and slowly started to sob. I could feel his blood pooling around me. His stomach had been gashed open when he bounced off the railing on the side of the highway. I didn’t care for the cars that were rushing by, or the police cars and ambulances that were quickly gathering. All I cared for, all I ever cared for, was Caleb. And now he’s gone.
