Anna rolled closer into him so that she was laying on her back looking up at him. She reached up and played with a strand of his thick reddish blonde hair. His half smile showed across his face.
“I guess it is then,” Jack said still half smiling.
Anna smiled too as she closed her eyes and snuggled close against his chest.
“This is very okay,” she said about to go to sleep.
She suddenly felt his warm lips pressed against her forehead, and then again at the corner of her mouth She opened her eyes to see him smiling at her and his eyes were so bright. He stroked her cheek with his fingers.
“I’ll be here when you wake up.”
Anna pulled his head down to hers so that she could kiss the corner of his lips too.
“Thank you,” was the last thing she said before she fell asleep.
