Yeah, you might wanna clean the slight contradiction up, but other than that it makes for an interesting beginning to a story. I liked the detail of the photograph stirring the investigator to action.

Wow. I am completely hooked on this. It doesn’t need a sequel, but it would work well as a series.
One tiny complaint. the book title should be italicized.

I fixed those paragraphs, by the way, for those that were wondering about a lack of contradiction now. Also, the title of the story isn’t a misspelling, its a an intentional reference to the book mentioned.

An investigator’s work is never done! Interesting case that fell into his lap! Makes me want to pick up on one of my series’…. I love how convenient it is that an address is written inside. A lead….

I agree with the others, this is a very intriguing story, the beginning of something much longer and much deeper. I would love to see a sequel.
