Just Another Disappointment
Every car that drove by I thought it would be you. Every time the door opened I looked up expecting to see your face. No I longed to see your face. It had been so long it was almost painful. It almost drove me to tears. Cold, bitter tears that would just remind me of that night. Of the hurt I went through because of you. Yet I still wanted to see you. I wanted to see if you had been hurt as much as I had. If you were still hurting like I was. If you were really sorry or if it was another lie.
But it wasn’t your car. It wasn’t your face. It was just another disappointment. Another time I had been let down. Another time something popped up to ruin everything. Just another set of pain.
