Who Needs Bookshelves (Bookshelf Challenge)

I do have two bookshelves. One big one, one little one. But I usually don’t read the books on them.

My inspirational books are lined up on my windowsill, along with a bamboo stalk in a jar and such. My favorites are Eat, Pray, Love, and the Notre Dame student prayer book.

The books I’ve read in the past months are lined up next to my nightstand, in front of the heater and behind the fan. These include multiple John Grishams, Artemis Fowl, and the Complete Guide to Women’s Running. And of course Calvin and Hobbes.

But my absolute favorites, books that I’ve read over and over, as well as books that I’m currently reading, are on my nightstand. Sophie’s World, Special Topics in Calamity Physics, Hunger nach Weniger, Slam. I think my nightstand, and the items around it, say more about me than anything else in my room.

But my current read is never too far away. Under my arm, on the chair next to me, or left laying outside all night on the patio table as I just noticed. Better go get that…
