the island is the what my group of friends call ourselves. It kinda hard to explain.

The first stanza reminded me of a Jack Johnson song. Not one in particular, just his style, which I love. I think The Island is a cool description for a group of friends.

“we, are the island, my friends. and we’ll keep on fighting for the bench. we are the island, we are the island, no time for mainland, cause we are the island, of the school”
