Wow, wow, wow. I loved this. I’m assuming this is the “start” of the series? It’s fantastic. It works well either forwards or backwards, but you did an incredible job writing it backwards. Five stars is all I can give you, unfortunately, but this entire series gets at least a ten.

Yes, I think a series starting at this point and going where it did would have been awesome. But going backward to this point of origin, it was even better.
