Strangely Good
I walked out of my Biology class and out to the parking lot. Dave was standing against a shiny silver Volvo, waving his hand.
“Hi” he said simply as he smiled. His crooked smile was so cute I couldn’t help but smile, too.
“Hi” I said. He walked around the car and opened the door for me.
“Thanks” I smiled as I shut the door behind me.
he got in and started the engine.
“So, I’m taking you home?”
“Yep.”
“Do you mind telling me where home is?”
“Oh sorry!” I blushed “It’s on the corner of West Lake and Revere. It’s number 806”
We drove for a few minutes and thne he pulled up in my driveway. We turned and looked at each other for a minute. He smiled.
“Thanks for everything” I said.
“Not a problem,” He said as he haded me a slip of paper, “this is my cell number, call me if you need anything, I’m always here”
“Ok, thank you”
What was going on? I didn’t even know this guy, and yet he made me feel so… happy. He was amazing, and it felt so strange, strangely good.
