Magic: Angie's Story
“Kitty, don’t run!â? cried a six-year-old little voice. A little blonde girl ran bent-over after a fat orange cat that was hurrying away across the church lawn. Her little hands worked, grabbing at empty air as if that would bring the cat closer.
“Angie! Angie, honey, get back here!â? A woman ran after her, her perfect blonde hair flying out of it’s bun.
It was too late though. Angie had made it into the street, jumping out so suddenly that a car leaving the parking lot couldn’t stop itself from hitting her – but it didn’t hit her. She vanished. One minute she was there, and the next minute she just…wasn’t.
“ANGIE!!!” the mother cried, staring at the spot where her daughter had disappeared from. “ANGIE!!!” She began to sob while onlookers gathered around, shocked.
“Mommy! Mommy, I’m over here!”
Everyone swung around to see the little girl emerging from behind some bushes, the fat orange cat in her arms.
“Mommy, I caught Kitty!”
