Colorado part 10: Come In
What felt like a million stupid things to be thinking about the situation started running through my mind as she held the door open.
Did she even know who I was? Was she disappointed I came over? Was she expecting someone else? Is someone else already hanging out with her?
“Hey!” she seemed genuinely happy to see me.
“Hi,” I said somewhat cautiously as she opened the door wider.
I noticed then how much taller I thought she was than me, but then I looked down and saw how low the ground was from the threshold.
“Come in,” she said as she turned around and walked back to where she was sitting. I followed her inside and closed the door behind me.
She was sitting on the couch in the TV room area of their room. Their room, I noticed straight away, was much smaller than ours. I sat down on the comfortable chair and it turned out we started talking and we had a lot in common from favorite books to TV shows to likes and dislikes. I felt like I had known her for like ever. She seemed like a truly genuine person.
