i walk along this road called life
scared and alone
never really knowing
where my steps may lead
i use to have a path to follow
and through all the pain and tears
i have lost the path i made
to lead me through my years
my next step may be my last
it may lead me to the end
or maybe it will lead me home
to where my life was lead
or maybe it will lead me
to the guy who is to steal my heart
the man that god has set for me
even if we are miles apart
who really knows where this all will go
all i know is i’m on the upswing
and i’m glad to be getting off
