“Who are you?” she said, and with a pang of… something, felt that for some reason the voice that had spoken was not hers.
“I’m your husband, silly. Come with me, it’s nearly time to go.”
Funny, she didn’t recognize him.
“Really? Well, who am I?”
“The wife of the luckiest man alive.”
Ah, so she was alive. This wasn’t just a dream.
“Time to go. Get up, let’s get moving.”
He yanked her onto her feet, and slung his arm around her waist.
Well, she supposed, this wasn’t so bad. Maybe she could get used to this.
“Come on, hon,” the man smiled, leading her toward the door.
She glanced up at him, and figured, what the heck. She walked forward, and continued going, side-by-side with the man, into a life that was not hers.
