Fairy tale challenge - Two sisters (rules & introduction)

Do you believe in fairy tales? Do you believe in happy endings, or rather you believe they’re too sappy for your tastes? If it so, I hope, this challenge is up to you. Write an interesting development and and ending for this tale I’d sketch out here. In two weeks I’ll be checking for a winner. Remember, you may write the fairy tale as long as you want, get an happy or a gory/twisted ending, but just remember how fairy tales were when you were a kid.

Once upon a time, two twin princesses lived in a faraway castle. Named Alina and Falina, they were one the same of the other, not even their mother could tell them apart. Growing, they gained the same brilliant mind, the same beauty, the same qualities. They were like twin doves, gracefully and able to dance with hypnotical grace. Their voices resembled a choir of angels, all rolled up in two white, soft throats and red lips.

They both pined for the same prince, the future king of all the kingdom. He too carried a torch for them, but simply he could not decide
