An Ode To Renewal
Once more I’d like to apologize,
Once more I’d like to memorize,
All the things I have said and what I have done,
Too bad my memory can only show me the one.
I wasn’t perfect, but who is?
Not a soul, and I won’t bother with this.
You aren’t either, he’s a liar.
Lets be realistic now, lets not start a fire.
‘Cause oxygen won’t be all that’s gone,
Just burnt remnants of this song.
An ode to renewal, an effigy of the past,
The words of a memory that will always last.
They are all that’s eternal,
Recorded events in my mind’s journal.
But this diary shall never break, never shake,
And never put this life at stake.
Why die over just another chapter?
A cataloged event in the book of the Captor.
And how disappointed would the readers be,
If the hero died so abruptly?
Well like any good warrior, I will win.
I will fight for this life, and be happy again.
Whether that its with you or not, I know its true.
It all depends on what you do.
Don’t rush it like last time, please, for me.
Do whats right for all eternity.
