Standing Outside my Door (Backwards Challenge)
“Hold on…” I said while whipping my tears away. I open the door to find none other than Dan.
“Hi,” is all I get out. I fumble my fingers, waiting anxiously to what he had to say. The fact that he is here standing outside my door maybe be good or horribly bad.
“I am sorry,” Dan said, “I should have told you how I felt. I know I am not good at this relationship stuff or being romantic. I am just going to say it, I love you. There, I said it. Do with it what you want. I just wanted you to know off of some hope that you still have feelings for me.”
“Dan…” It feels so good to say his name.
“Don’t say goodbye just yet. I know we can work Sandy. We can make it through this.” He puts his hands gently on my stomach.
“I still love you Dan,” I finally say. His blue eyes look up at me. “I have been waiting to do this.”
