“THEY ARE STAYING THE WHOLE DAY!” she shrieked.
Nick plugged the one of his ears that was closest to her.
My eyes grew wide. Charlie’s at our school.
“Uh- what are they gonna do all day?” I inquired, looking at Nick.
“Well,” Nick said, “We’re gonna stay in your classes.”
I sighed. “Em, dude, did Mr.B approve this?” I asked this as a last resort. Mr.B is our vice principal, and way awesome. He’d have approved it. But a girl’s gotta have hope, right?
“DUH,” she replied, still speaking loudy.
Kevin glanced up at the clock. “OH MY!” he exclaimed, “We gotta go!” They all got up and bolted for the door, and I grabbed a waffle before following. Kevin brought the sickk minivan.
We all piled in the car and headed off to school.
When we got there, it was chaos.
