I really like the raw emotion in the second-to-last paragraph and her attempt to understand why Jack’s after her. Maybe there’s a heart in there somewhere, or maybe he’s a complete creep. Either way, his tactics seem to have demoralized her.

Was it really him? Or someone else? Jack has some serious mental and grudge issues he needs to go work out with that therapist or something.

The last line reminded me of the BFG … Right, or left?

Anyways, besides my wandering mind, I really liked this part of the series. You could just feel how much loathing she has towards Jack for ruining her almost-perfect summer.

I like her internal struggle here. Very believable.
