That ending was very surprising and extremely sad.

A lot of surprises here. I never pictured the person as a worker in the old-folks home when I read this initially, what with the visit to the porch, (I pictured a house) and the suicide was a shock!

Whoa, brutal. Still not sure what to make of the situation, if she came back as a ghost, or just managed to survive her apparent death. Either way, heartbreaking and sad.
