Trevor's Lust and Kelsie's Resolve
“Trevor!” called Josh, “How was your suspension?” He teased.
“I played Playstation games all day.” I shrugged. Better to make it sound like a breeze, the girls love a bad-guy image. I scanned the hall for Kelsie. I hoped she would talk to me today.
I tried many times, cornering her at lunch, standing by her in line, passing notes in class, but she surrounded herself with girls, ignored me, or tore up my notes into tiny pieces. That’s cool. I could wait her out.
I thought about it during math. Brittany was batting her lashes at me, flipping her hair in my direction. She passed a note that asked if I would go out with her. Would Kelsie be jealous? Brittany would be harder to get alone, she has four siblings, so no chance for feeling her up, but if it made Kelsie jealous and got her to confront me, it would be worth it. I circled Yes.

I made Brittany my world for a week. Brittany wore a necklace I gave her, held my hand when the teacher wasn’t looking, and laughed at everything I said.
Kelsie didn’t crack.
