I love that people keep finding ficlets #1 (/stories/1), so I thought I’d write something called “The Beginning” that’s as opposite as I could come up with this early in the morning. The photo is from one of my favorite places on earth, a little town on the Mediterranean in France called La Napoule.

I love the line “I’ve found an attention span” because ever since college, I’ve felt like I’ve acquired Adult Onset ADD ! It’s great to take time and relax! maybe that’s why I love the country.

And strangely enough, I have the same comment to make as I did for ficlet #1 – throw in a beer and a jacuzzi and I say bring it on.

I already know I’m leaving the laptop at home when I go on my first real vacation in six years next month. The only thing missing form this scene is your other half.

I’m so addicted to my Blackberry I’ve come to refer to it as my “Crackberry.” But something in me longs for the “unplugged” life, especially after reading this fic and looking at that picture.
