Awesome sequel. This is exactly what I got from the original; a moving away from childhood in general, and how it will inevitably happen to all of us. The line, “I think, therefore I pout” was bloody brilliant. And the last line was very funny, and unexpected.
I just changed a word in the last line… I wasn’t sure if the actual phrase is “to be beaned” or “to be beamed.” So, I went with smack. A good all around verb. ;)
Beaned is the proper word, but it’s usually a consequence of an intentional action. For example, “I beaned the poor schlub on the bicycle in the head with a water balloon.” Smack is good if it simply fell off the tree, if it was thrown by a belligerent squirrel or something, then beaned works very well.
