Thy Will Be Done (Make Someone's Day Challenge- thebetweenspace)

Mary Baker, mahogany hair pulled into a twist, meticulous evidence gathering lead forensics investigator was currently bored because in a town like this, no homicide particularly interesting was ever perpetrated. That was about to change.

She surveyed the outside of the building before taking a step to cross the street. Searched the grounds before entering. Stared patiently at the witness who found the body.

All without saying a word.

Mary immediately went to work, speaking in a hushed voice, “What are you hiding from me, Pastor? I know you have secrets.”

Photographing the body from different angles, “I will find them out.” She frowned and leaned down to look closer, near his coat pocket. She “tsked” in disgust and shook her head at the small foil square covered in the pastor’s blood.

“One secret down,” she sighed and took a few more pictures.

Retrieving her gloves, she dramatically snapped them into place. “Let the games commence,” her brown eyes sparkled with a hint of deranged excitement.
