First Date
Walt was exasperated with Clara’s antics but the most he’d done all day was shoot some hoops with some boys at the park hours ago. He had to admit, he was bored.
“Fine. I’ll be ready in ten minutes. Where do you wanna go to eat?”
“I was thinking Bebe’s Burgers. Anyone in our year who’s still here is bound to be there on a Friday night. We’ll get a little face time in with some other couples.”
“You know you’re crazy right?”
“Yup. I’m brining my camera,” Clara said anyway.
At the diner.
As soon as Clara came in she began to scan the room for people she recognized. She didn’t recognize too many of the faces there and assumed they were from out of town.
Walt picked up his menu. “I love their triple deluxe burger,” he said, licking his lips. “Burger, cheese, bacon, perfect trifecta.”
“I’ll skip the heart attack, thanks,” Clara said.
She opened her bag and took out her camera, snapping a shot of Walt studying the appetizers section. “First pic for our First Date album,” she smiled.
