Stockholm Syndrome 2
I glanced into the rearview mirror; my prayers had been answered, there was a police car with lights flashing. Now lets see what she has to say I thought as i pulled to the side of the road. I knew what was coming so i removed my drivers license from my wallet as the patrolman approached my side of the car. I rolled the window down feeling the cool night air against my skin. The patrolman’s flashlight lit up my face then swept the inside of the empty car. “Do you know how fast you were going, miss?”
“No sir” I lied.
“I clocked you at 90” he said, taking my drivers license. “This road is a dangerous stretch in the daylight and for a girl alone to be doing 90 is just asking to be killed or to kill someone.” He retreated to his patrol car. I turned to her and said “Now see what you made me do? Are you happy?” This time it was her that remained silent.
