I had turned the bend and could no longer see the club. I reached my house. They hadn’t gotten to it yet. With a gasp of relief I ran up my driveway and hopped inside my car.

Fumbling through my purse, I quickly found my car key and shoved it in the ignition.

Racing out of the driveway and down the street, all I could hear was the engine of the car. All was silent. Was that a good sign or bad ?

That’s when I heard it. A boom so loud that my ears rang with pain, followed by the sound of vicious flames. And I was miles away.
