Excellent. It makes you wonder what is really going on in this facility (i assume a nursing home of some sort). Glad that she decided not to leave him. Nursing homes aren’t so great in my opinion, even if they look like paradise.
That has to be one of the most difficult decisions a child has to make for their parents (the other being whether or not to terminate treatment). Can you take care of your parents yourself? Can you afford home health care? Can you live with leaving your parents in a place where the other residents seem to be just waiting to die? You deal with this subject matter with great sensitivity. My one suggestion is to eliminate the negatives in the third paragraph. It’ll make her decision in the end more profound.
