I’m not sure I understand this fully, but I think I’ve got the general idea. Maybe its just me being slow…again.

I didn;t understand what was going on a first, the main character seemed so casual about an intruder. But then I picked up the idea.
Very suspenseful, I’m loving it. It would be nice to know everything that went down leading up to this moment.

I was confused at first, too, but I think (?) that was your intent. Great pacing in this.
