Playing Well With Others
I stared outside of my window, arms crossed, annoyed expression plastered on my face.
“Great,” I mumbled. “You would think living in the lightning capital of the world that I’d be used to the rain and lightning everyday during the summer months. Now I’m just pissed,” I added leaning against the wall.
“Well,” said my best friend Miya, “That’s why God made umbrellas.”
“Whatever,” I grumbled, pushed myself off the wall and grabbed my purse and keys. ” Are you ready?”
“Yes… don’t act like you don’t want to go.” She said catching an attitude.
“I’d much rather stay home.” I snapped.
“You need to get out of the house.” She said.
I rolled my eyes. “If you say so Mi.”
She smiled and headed to the garage. ” Come on, time is money!”
