Brain Overexertion
“So how’s Les Mis coming?”
“I made it through the first section! I’m so psyched right now!”
“Four more to go, my friend. And some of them are longer. Took you, how long, a year to read the first section?”
“It was a bit over 6 months, thank you very much. And I actually have a life, I can’t read nonstop! And you try reading microscopic print and turning newsprint-thin pages!”
“Whatever.”
“Hey, I looked at the first ‘book’ of the next section…”
“Yeah?”
“It’s basically all the Battle of Waterloo. Is all of it necessary?”
“Why don’t you read it, find out for yourself?”
“I would, but I don’t want to get confused in my head with all the details…”
“Aw, you don’t want to overexert your brain again?”
“I just don’t want to waste my time reading nonsense.”
”... and you don’t want to overexert your brain again?”
“Hey! When did I overexert my brain?”
“Geez, where to start…?”
“Aw, who asked you?”
“You did, genius.”
