Staple it Together
Sigourney propelled herself through the front door. “Tasha?” she called. “Are you still here?”
Tasha elbowed her out of the way. ”’Henry doesn’t exactly understand things of this nature’? Well, I’m sure as a government agent, he doesn’t. Who could understand a Soviet sleeping on his girlfriend’s couch?” He put his hand over his eyes. “I’ve overstayed your welcome, Cold War Kid. If you’re lucky, you won’t see me again. I never meant to…remind you of Reggie.”
Sigourney sucked in her cheeks. Without a sound she closed her eyes.
“Get out. I’m glad you’re leaving! I was going to ask you to leave, anyway!”
Tasha smiled his inexperienced smile. “No, you weren’t.” He shook his head slowly. His heart beat to an off beat rhythm. His fingers twitched with ambition.
Sigourney threw her shoe at his already bandaged head.
It hit him straight on.
“Oh, I’m so sorry!” Sig cried, flying to his side, kissing his cheeks over and over again.
“You came home to say that, for some reason, you loved me.”
I know.
