i think in the beginning you should give a little bit more detail because i found myself lost.. it took a few rereads for me to get it.

I’m sorry, but the story is exactly the maximum allowed length (1024, aka ficlet nirvana), but I think the main problem is that I’m a nerd, and thought X10 [ see http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/X10_(industry_standard) ] was a word in English ;)

I think maybe the background, explaining X10 and how the bears came to rule the apes, should be a sequel or prequel, to give us more detail. Throwing it in to an already well defined ficlet was confusing. But I love the idea and the picture! I think you could run with it for a few ficlets, and you should!
