ESP? Especially

Jennie sighed, rolling her eyes as her father’s glare intensified. “Okay already,” she said, pressing the “ESP OFF ” button near the radio and the air conditioning in her car, a cute little VW bug that she had personalized with stickers and plush animals, all emblazoned with peace signs and tie-dye. Jennie wasn’t huge into Peace, Love and Drugs or anything, but she thought the tie dye was in keeping with her car’s overall aura, even though it seemed to bother her father to no end.”It’ll make driving no fun though,” the redhead warned her father, because everyone (at least everyone who wasn’t as old and uptight as her dad) knew that if you kept on the ESP function all cars came with after about 2150, then you could drive really fast without worrying about hitting anything or causing any problems. Your car knew what was about to happen and made sure you didn’t run off the magnetic strips that kept all the traffic going. With it off, you could only go about 100mph, twice as slow as otherwise. Especially boring.
