Once a Cheater, Always a Cheater

David sat down at the ‘Texas hold ‘em’ poker game going on in the back of the restaurant. “Ante up,” one of the men said.
He placed a quarter on the table. When he looked at his cards, he said, “I’ll be right back.”
He got up to get a soda and as he did so, he rubbed his nose to hide that he was looking at a man’s cards. That one wasn’t going to win.
After he got his soda, he came back. He had two kings. The chance that the third guy would have something better than that was likely, but he had a plan. He placed a dollar on the money pile. “I raise it to one dollar.”
The next round, he placed five dollars.
Then ten dollars.
“Fold,” one man said.
“Fold,” the other said.
David left with $28.00 dollars.
“Not much,” he mumbled to himself. “But I got something.”
He was a cheater at everything, but that didn’t bother him.
