Hally got out of bed, and threw on a pair of jeans and her favorite t-shirt. She figured wearing a comfy outfit may help her get over the rejection.

Seeing Jack at school was torture for Hally. He no longer smiled at her in that way that made her feel like she was the only girl in the room. He no longer stopped to make odd conversations in the hall. He had even cut his hair differently. She had to admit it wasn’t as flattering. He was even flirting with Casandra now.
